9 Books for Every Reader

Hello friends! I created this little list because I constantly have people asking me what they should read next. Most people like to stick to the same genre instead of trying something new, but I love to encourage people to get out of their comfort zone! I have listed a few titles below that fit into many different genres. I hope you find something you enjoy. Happy reading nerds!

Thriller: The Woman in Cabin 10 
Written By: Ruth Ware 
Quick Summary: A young professional boards a yacht for its maiden voyage. On the first evening aboard the ship, she fears she has heard a murder in the room next to her. This novel is sure to keep you turning the pages until the very end.  






YA: The Selection
Written By: Kiera Cass
Quick Summary: 35 young girls are chosen to move in with the Prince in order to find the country's next leading lady. This dystopian version of The Bachelor is sure to leave you wishing you were the one wearing the crown. 




Creepy: The Diviners 
Written By: Libba Bray
Quick Summary: Set in the roaring 20's, a young girl moves in with her uncle and is pulled in to help solve several occult-based murders. She learns she has a power that may help catch the killer - if he doesn't catch her first. 



Non-Fiction: Don’t Tell Me You’re Afraid 
Written By: Giuseppe Catozzella 
Quick Summary: A young Somalian girl risks everything to train for the Olympics. This is a story that will strengthen and break your heart all at the same time. Pick it up with a box of tissues and be prepared to recommend it to all of your friends. 





Gal Pal’s: The Regulars  
Written By: Georgia Clark 
Quick Summary: Three best friends come across a potion that immediately changes them from average to super model gorgeous. How will they handle this new found beauty? This book is full of cringe-worthy moments sure to leave you rolling with laughter. 



All the Feels: First Comes Love 
Written By: Emily Giffin
Quick Summary: A story about two sisters who experience tragedy and eventually travel down different life paths. The story is emotionally honest and utterly enthralling. It is a story about family, friendship, and the courage to follow your own heart. I can hear you pulling tissues from the box all the way over here. 



Book with a Twist: Leaving Time 
Written By: Jodi Picoult
Quick Summary: A story about a young girl searching for answers about her mother and her past. She enlists the help of a psychic and a jaded personal investigatory in order to find the truth about her mother. There are many twists and turns that will leave you constantly guessing. 




Historical Fiction: All the Light We Cannot See 
Written By: Anthony Doerr
Quick Summary: A blind French girl and a German boy's paths collide in occupied France as both try to survive the devastation of World War II. This story is told over many generations and by many different points of view. The writing is fantastic and it truly sheds light on how against all odds, people try to do good by one another. 




Fairy Tale Retelling: A Court of Thorns and Roses 
Written By: Sarah J. Maas
Quick Summary: After a young huntress kills a wolf in the woods, a creature arrives to demand retribution for the wolf killed. Maas creates a dazzling world with similarities of Beauty and the Beast. This novel is full of suspense, romance and action. Do not pass this novel by!
