Author: Rachel Hawkins
Pages: 304
Publishing: G.P. Putnam's Sons Books for Young Readers (May 1, 2018)

Synopsis:

New York Times bestselling author Rachel Hawkins serves up a deliciously royal romance, perfect for fans of Sarah Dessen and Huntley Fitzpatrick.

Meet Daisy Winters. She's an offbeat sixteen-year-old Floridian with mermaid-red hair; a part time job at a bootleg Walmart, and a perfect older sister who's nearly engaged to the Crown Prince of Scotland. Daisy has no desire to live in the spotlight, but relentless tabloid attention forces her join Ellie at the relative seclusion of the castle across the pond.

While the dashing young Miles has been appointed to teach Daisy the ropes of being regal, the prince's roguish younger brother kicks up scandal wherever he goes, and tries his best to take Daisy along for the ride. The crown--and the intriguing Miles--might be trying to make Daisy into a lady . . . but Daisy may just rewrite the royal rulebook to suit herself.

New York Times bestselling author Rachel Hawkins brings her signature humor, love of Americana, and flair for romance to this page-turning Princess Diaries turned-upside-down story.

Review:

I am a complete sucker for romance novels involving royalty, so when I heard about Royals I was all in. Hawkins is a such a fun writer and I've enjoyed all of her books, so I knew this novel would be catchy. Once again, Hawkins delivered with a totally engrossing and entertaining novel full of characters you love and others you love to hate.

Daisy was such a fun character and I loved how easy going she was as well as her wit and charm. She had such a spunky attitude and her personality was as addicting as this novel. I thoroughly enjoyed experiencing the ups and downs of royalty alongside Daisy and couldn't have dreamed up a better leading lady for this novel.

All in all, Royals was entertaining, addicting, and full of action that kept me flipping pages late into the night. If you're a fan of YA romance and royalty... I would highly recommend this novel! I thoroughly enjoyed Royals and can't wait for the next book in the series! Thank you to Penguin Teen for sending this novel in exchange for an honest review.

Rating 4/5
